This research project investigates the motivations behind trust in conspiracy theories, the intention to support them, and share their content online. It also investigates how recipients’ motivations and thoughts - such as “If… then…” - interact with the communication methods used in the dissemination of news and explanations not based on reliable bases.
The project is part of a larger project, funded by the Catholic University under line D.3.2 Projects of interest to the University - Year 2020, entitled: Public functions, private control. Interdisciplinary profiles on governance without governance of the algorithmic society.
