The effects of communication on the environmental and economic consequences of climate change mitigation policies are investigated. The economic downturn and the financial burden many countries are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic could make many citizens reluctant to take costly mitigation measures. This project tests the effect of the gain or loss frame of messages describing an energy policy and its environmental and economic impact.
